Fashion's Women of Color: Mara Hoffman FW20
In this new segment called Fashion’s Women of Color, we spotlight designers and brands who cast models of all ethnicities. The more we do this, it may send the message to fashion brands that are not utilizing women of color in their presentations or campaigns that they are truly missing something. Being an inclusive brand is no longer the game changer, it is the basic principle.
Mara Hoffman is a New York designer whose aim is to design and produce collections with more thoughtfulness by reducing its impact on natural resources and using its platform to build awareness. In recent years, the brand made a shift to a sustainable supply chain. Hoffman sources organic, recycled and low-impact fabrics without sacrificing the brand’s style aesthetic and timelessness.
