Magda Archer Creates Surreal Pop Art for The Marc Jacobs Collection
British artist and illustrator Magda Archer creates pop art meets nostalgic memorabilia. She captures childhood tongue and cheek into an art form giving it kitsch sensibility. Her foray into fashion began in 2012 when her painting “My Life is Crap” was used in a Comme des Garcons ad campaign. Now in a collaboration with Marc Jacobs, Archer delights the fashion brand with her retro expertise and imagination with cheeky slogans, “stay away from toxic people”, “you’re so good at making me feel bad”, and “I hate art'“.
