Öhlin/D FW17

Öhlin/D is the brainchild of of Jacob Park and Anne Deane. The brand focuses on ethically sourced and manufacturing consciously an effortlessly cool women's ready-to-wear line that really speaks to female confidence. Their customer is someone who doesn't think too hard about the outfit itself, instead represents herself in true fashion. Take their Fall/Winter 2017 presentation staged against sunlit windows, fancy floral decor, and midcentury accents. Yet the most obvious takeaway was the styling of the collection, where socks and sandals took center stage. Not completely, but it did allude to the viewer's conscious eye that perhaps the season was inspired by the nerdy chic librarian who loved to hide behind books, yet properly groomed in a Vogue magazine aesthetic. We'll take booksmart over party girl every day of the week.
