How to Dress Like the K-Drama Series, One Spring Night
*Updated May 6, 2021
Who knew a librarian’s life could be so complicated? One Spring Night is a Netflix Korean drama series that aims to take the viewers on a rollercoaster ride of emotions, jealousy, social and family conflicts.
Girl With a Hangover Walks Into a Pharmacy…
Lee Jeong-In (Han Ji-min) meets a handsome pharmacist, Yoo Ji-ho (Jung Hae-in) and soon enough they fall in love with each other. However, Jeong-in is somewhat stuck (really complicated) in a four year relationship with a man she no longer desires. In fact, every single time the topic of marriage is brought up, she detests the thought of having to spend the rest of her life with him. Ji-ho’s past is also one of heartache and insecurities. Families play such a huge role in these romance dramas, so much that the plot lines weighs heavily on the parents of all parties having a say in their child’s love life.
Jeong-in is a professional woman with her own apartment, although her younger sister who fled from a London study abroad has moved in, that’s the least of her worries. To describe Jeong-in’s style is part academia, you’ll see a lot of tweed blazers and scarves and very metropolitan. Everything about her personal style says city life and that she is a modern woman, who turns out is not afraid of a little complication.
BLAZERS
Korean women know how to wear a blazer for just about any and every occasion.
THE ESSENTIALS
In every Korean wardrobe is the standard striped shirt seated amongst a bevy of chic knitwear, hoodies and the quintessential trench coat.
COOL BOHEMIAN SISTER
The free-spirited one with a rebellious streak, but who stays sweet and loyal when it’s called for. Her style is always on wanderlust mode and with vintage taste.
TAILORED DRESS
I’m noticing a lot in Seoul street-style how presentation is everything, almost in an effortless, yet meticulous fashion. Korean women are rarely disheveled and they know the importance of tailoring your clothes to fit your body.
