Product Review: Glow Recipe's Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum
My experience has been a love and hate relationship with this serum. At first glance, the pretty pink bottle lets you believe that there could be some fragrance and as the name states, makes your face plump. The first week I began using it, both in my morning and skincare routines, there was yes, a hint of fruity fragrance to it, but no, I didn’t see any plumpness in my skin. Its watergel consistency, if you’re not used to wet serums, does take some getting used to. At the time I had just finished reviewing an oil based serum and a cream serum, so my first reaction was to dislike the watergel texture.
However, I pursued on knowing well that Glow Recipe’s other products like the Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer has been on my favorites list for awhile. Therefore, I wanted to finish the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum until it was empty. The end result was not what I was expecting.
It took about two months to get to empty. I stuck to this serum religiously, without skipping a morning or night usage. And here is what I finally think of it.
This was the most lightweight serum I’ve ever tried and I didn’t mind that one bit. It was actually a nice change and even craved the almost there plum scent. Toward the end of the second month, I still couldn’t confirm whether or not it diminished any fine lines. Nor, was there any external evidence that my face appeared or felt any plumper. Still a little confused as to how plump Glow Recipe wanted my face to look and feel.
However, the verdict is that by the end of the last squeeze, I became saddened. I thought, this is it? We’re done? You’re out of here? But, who’s going to put that clean, fresh looking glow on my face every morning and night?
I glowed, every morning and every evening. My face looked smooth to the touch, I liked the layer of protection that this serum provided. Other serums haven’t made me feel that way. It does offer very good deep hydration and this serum left my face feeling and looking luminous. So, I hated it in the beginning, but ended up loving it and now missing it in the end.
