Elegant Technicolors: Sara Battaglia SS20
Italian designer Sara Battaglia is obsessed with big colors for spring-summer 2020. The look is very put together, sophisticated, polished and “up for fun” silhouettes and separates paired with well-traveled headscarves and super chic sunglasses. Battaglia is also highly inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama, so this collection is polkadot heavy, accompanied with layered ruffled bellbottoms. The brightness and silhouettes are truly reminiscent of vintage noir films where the woman gets swept away with a questionable happy ending. Yet, like in most old movies, women of that time were never underdressed, nor overdressed. That’s just something Italian women know exactly how to do.
