Alexis Bittar is Hiring a Graphic Designer (Brooklyn, NY)

The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and executing all digital and print assets in adherence to brand guidelines. The Graphic Designer will partner with VP of Marketing and CEO to create assets for Ecomm, Retail, Social, PR and Wholesale teams that translate the brand identity, create excitement and assist in meeting sales goals. 

About the company

Brooklyn born and bred designer, Alexis Bittar has been designing jewelry for over 20 years. He began his illustrious career by selling on the streets of New York City in the early 1980s. Bittar sold his hand crafted pieces from a wooden fold-out table on St Marks Place and in Soho, NYC. Shortly after, Bittar’s creations were recognized by fashion retailers worldwide; propelling the Artist into the world of international museums, department stores and luxury boutiques alike. In 2010, the self-taught designer was lauded by the CFDA, receiving the accessories designer of the year award. In 2013, he received the award for brand of the year by the Accessories Council.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of hands-on graphic design experience 

  • Computer proficiency in required software programs including Adobe Suite and Google Suite. - Proficiency in ESP (Klaviyo) preferred 

  • Interest in fashion and understanding of the brand’s positioning within the fashion world - Show enthusiasm and passion for the brand and its customers 

  • Up to date on latest technology in the field 

  • Ability to think creatively, conceptually, and strategically about the business with a problem-solving mentality 

  • Able to prioritize, set deadlines and execute multiple activities or projects while working in a fast-paced environment. Proactively work toward goals and communicate progress - Proven ability of strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 

  • Ability to balance attention to detail with a global view of brand presentation 

  • Ability to work independently while working within a team environment 

  • Adaptable to changing priorities with an ability to ask clarifying questions and communicate need for support 

  • Professional, positive, energetic, and “can do” attitude 

  • Must have employment authorization to work lawfully in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build weekly email marketing messages, from graphic assets to the templates in ESP, using an understanding of best practices, industry comps and brand guidelines and selling data - Create assets for seasonal lookbooks for PR and Wholesale departments 

  • Create assets for both organic social posts and paid media ads across all channels - Create training materials used for Retail and Wholesale teams that drive sales staff and create excitement around seasonal collections 

  • Create seasonal print mailer catalog to attract new customers 

  • Maintain website imagery including homepage design, landing page banners and ad hoc assets as needed 

  • Ad hoc digital and print assets as needed 

  • Collaborate with VP of Marketing, Ecomm + Creative Services team to translate the seasonal marketing calendar into monthly, weekly and daily visual stories across all touch points.
