ban.do is Hiring Product Design Asst (Los Angeles)

ban.do is a lifestyle brand based in sunny Los Angeles that designs clothes, accessories, gifts, stationery, and more. Inspired by the power of friendship, the good old days, and all things FUN, ban.do is really into supporting a community of customers, fellow artists, and like-minded brands.

Currently looking for a Product Design Assistant with strong creative instincts and a graphic design background to contribute to the ideation and creation of the brand's lifestyle products. This person would work under the direction of the product design team and Product Design Manager to assist in executing visual ideas that connect to a greater seasonal concept, while contributing to the overall creation of the line through surface design, packaging, and sample reviews.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Available 20 hours per week
• Graphic design background
• Strong interest in packaging design and typography
• Illustration or surface design skills a bonus
• Highly organized
• Able to take very specific direction
• A strong sense of dimension and scale

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Contribute design ideas for ban.do lifestyle collections.
• Help create and maintain packaging files.
• Propose and execute surface designs for lifestyle products, .com collaborations, and collaborations.
• Follow and carry out design direction given by product designers and/or Product Design Manager.
• Participate in sample reviews and design reviews as needed.
• Clean up and maintain outside art files.
• Assist in the creation of pitch decks and product mockups as needed.
• Run errands (pick up print orders, for example)
• Adheres to all policies and procedures outlined in ban.do’s employee handbook.
• Any other tasks that may be assigned to meet company goals.
