Farmacy is Hiring Freelance Graphic Designer (NYC)

The Graphic Designer will assist our Creative team by picking up projects in various stages of creative development to completion. This position understands the objectives of the piece, adds value by critically thinking through the specification and flows of content, makes recommendations to improve the user experience, and produces layouts that are both on-brand and technically immaculate. We are looking for a candidate with strong design background and who is a great team player.
Must be able to commute to NYC office.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Art, or a similar field
Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, etc.
Ability to work proficiently across multiple mediums — digital, print, etc.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to management time, work independently, and take ownership of assignments
Strong attention to detail working across multiple projects at one time
Willingness to learn and collaborate
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with video editing and production is a plus
Digital photography and videography is a plus
Copywriting or copy editing is a plus
English proficiency is a must.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with team members to help facilitate marketing initiatives
Conceptualize original creative and execute on design projects
Provide graphic design expertise to assist with digital and print assignments
Assist with implementation of both company and client brand marketing strategie
Keep projects files organized
Track and manage time to meet deadlines and stay on budget
Communicate questions and concerns as needed to keep projects moving
Project Examples:
Print - Corporate communications including brochures, product sheets and advertisements
Photography - selection, curation, retouching, assist creative director with photo shoot.
Video – Assist team with planning and filming
Social - page design, content creation, editing
Digital - Website design, email signatures
Trade Show - Exhibit design, promotional materials
Branding - logo creation, design standards, label design, catalogue, marketing materials, help to come up with brand identity.
Meeting – participate in meetings with clients and internal meetings.
