LOVESHACKFANCY is Hiring a Social Media Editor (NYC)

The role’s primary purpose is to support LoveShackFancy’s social media content capture, planning, and scheduling across all brand platforms to drive key social performance metrics.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, creative, and strategic to join the marketing team. They should have proven experience editing / and or managing multiple social media platforms. The ideal candidate should live for social media and be able to bring creative ideas to our content planning process.

LoveShackFancy is a New York City-based lifestyle brand founded in 2013 by stylist, designer and creative director Rebecca Hessel Cohen. The brand originated from Rebecca’s desire to design the perfect bridesmaid dress for her own ethereal summer wedding at her family home in Bridgehampton, surrounded by swaying apple trees. REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 year’s experience as a content marketer or editor in the social media/digital space

  • Experience developing video-first content strategies across social platforms

  • Highly organized, flexible, and ability to react in real to a dynamic workflow

  • Working knowledge of social measurement platforms and audience analysis

  • Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), Adobe Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and Planoly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Founder and broader marketing team to develop, plan, and execute a digital content strategy that is culturally relevant and social-first.

  • Support the editorial calendar and planning for the LoveShackFancy’s social channels in partnership with our Founder, head of marketing, internal creative team, communications, outside agencies - with a focus on Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, and Pinterest

  • Support the story / asset planning and selection process for a comprehensive social editorial program. Maintain a weekly social calendar with social grid layouts and campaign messaging.

  • Organize social campaign roll-out on all upcoming collection launches and special projects

  • Identify key moments to activate the LoveShackFancy brand across the editorial calendar through a mix of monthly, seasonal, rapid response, and always-on content

  • Become a champion of the company social community, making sure our content reflects the interests and needs of our audience

  • Leverage a consistent measurement plan to ensure that content performance is evaluated correctly

  • Lead all content publishing, weekly social calendar with social grid layouts, and community management, including engaging fans, followers, prospects, partners and aspirational customers through comments and Direct Messages. Respond to DMs from customers within 2 hours during working hours

  • Manage and grow the LoveShackFancy social media influencer program in partnership with PR coordinator.

  • Create ROI recaps for major programs and perfect content across channels to improve both internal and external communication.

  • Attend LoveShackFancy and partner events and ensure the best social coverage.

  • Stay versed in day-to-day topics relevant to the LoveShackFancy brand.
