Theory is Hiring a Copywriter (NYC)
Theory is seeking a Copywriter strategist who is highly passionate about both 'brand and product storytelling' and is finding unique ways to engage with customers, prospects, and the community across multiple touchpoints. Works closely with the e-commerce, Merch, Creative, and Design teams to conceptualize seasonal product storytelling and work with internal partners to execute content plans and deliverables according to established strategy and intent. The role will focus on shaping messaging and giving each product story a unique angle, ample marketing exposure, and connection back to the larger brand narrative.
Salary: $79,000.00-$82,000.00

REQUIREMENTS
BA required, English or Communications preferred, 2+ years of previous experience as a womens and menswear copywriter for retail/luxury and editorial.
Keen understanding of luxury voice and product copy best practices
Familiar with the sample documentation process and CMS
Portfolio with relevant work
Deadline-oriented
Comfortable working independently
Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent proofreading, editing and problem-solving
RESPONSIBILITIES
Write copy for PDP, site, email, app, paid social, in-store promotions, banners, print mailers, and organic social for Theory mainline and Theory outlet as needed
Own product copy workflow, working with merchants and design teams on fit, fabric, and style. Extract and organize product information from various internal databases and write all product descriptions
Own retail marketing messaging for Theory mainline and Theory outlet
Maintain and optimize product landing pages with accurate information and feedback
Translate the vision of the season and execute the brand story for our clients across all channels, maintaining a consistent voice and tone
Create branded social copy that is insightful, culturally relevant, and inherently sharable.
