“An ideaology of Prada” was the title theme of the Autumn-Winter 2022 collection. Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons commemorated life and living with its connection to everyday moments, memories and traditions of the past. I see a lot of Prada’s past blended into newer generations and cultures. All the while today’s aesthetic becomes reminiscent of the 1990’s and early 2000’s.

As always tailoring is exceptionally valued with menswear influences in its outerwear and over-structured blazers. Prada and Simons makes a point to take conventional menswear construction to be interrupted with femininity. Simple silhouettes take form of the brand’s well-known pencil skirt aesthetic, big skirts, embroidery and its iconic logo. Prada brings back a little bit of its heritage this way and even brings in a pop of color with what I call Squid Game pink.
