Ezra Furman is an American singer/songwriter whose compilation to the soundtrack for the Netflix dramedy series “Sex Education” offers throwback melodies of the 60’s. There’s a little bit of Lou Reed aesthetic along with Ezra’s vulnerability.

Move over BTS.
@HIIMMIMIB
We’ve been Mimi Bay fans long enough to know that she always sets the right mood for when mood is needed. You’re sipping a glass of lemonade in the backyard, tanning under an overcast but sunny sky and it all fits in with these quarantine months.
@ANEBRUN
Norwegian songwriter Ane Brun’s new song “Song for Thrill and Tom” is about a complex, beautiful and extraordinary love story. “Thrill and Tom, are my dear friend Tirilleia and her Tom, the great love of her life, who tragically passed away two years ago,” explains Brun. A beautiful song that plays out like a gentle memory.
#JACKIESHANE
Jackie Shane was an American singer during the Toronto 1960’s R&B and soul music scene. Shane was also a pioneer of Toronto’s transgender and LGBTQ community, where in the early days she would perform on stage dressed up as a man in drag. In later years Shane publicly identified herself as a transgender woman. Her music and lyrics particularly in the 1963 song “Any Other Way” is like a personal diary into the singer’s not so secret life.
