Girl to Know: Isabel Hall
Upon graduating from Pratt Institute, young designer Isabel Hall was already on her way to fashion stardom. Stylist Mel Ottenberg discovered Hall at her 90's skater themed senior-thesis show, soon after Rihanna wore one of her pieces, a silver sheer jumpsuit in the music video "This Is What You Came For". Hall's work at Pratt was a study of gender identity, particularly in the category of American sportswear. As sparkly as the jumpsuit was, Ottenberg definitely saw and appreciated the intersection of masculine and feminine. Following her instant fame, Hall interned with another Rihanna approved designer, Adam Selman. As she's still honing her skills in design and production, Hall is based in Brooklyn and continues to focus on designing her namesake collection.
