Product Review: Selfmade Secure Attachment Comfort Serum
I had never expected a serum to hydrate, moisturize and de-stress me all at once.
By using this Comfort Serum, I learned that secure attachment meant having confidence and self-awareness, to put my emotional, mental and overall physical health first. This serum became a theoretical life preserver in terms of taking care of myself in order to provide genuine kindness to others.
I brought the serum back into my daily skincare routine by the winter season, when I usually need to take care of myself the most (on the inside as well as outside). There it was again, the feelings returned, I felt like I was being taken care of just from the instant touch of the squalane and aloe ingredients perhaps, the soft and silk-like way it calmed me from the tip of my forehead down to the base of my neck. I had never expected a serum to hydrate, moisturize and de-stress me all at once.
I applied 2 pumps each time morning and night and unlike the rest of my skincare products, I gently pressed it onto my skin, never rushing and sometimes with my eyes closed. And I would take a meaningful, deep breath in and out. I would silently repeat a positive affirmation or what I was grateful for that day. Sometimes I would meditate and focus on the serum’s texture, how it felt on my face and all the good, positive vibes I wanted to give myself and to others.
Skincare is a ritual, not just the physical, hands-on touch of it, but it’s meant to make you feel good about yourself. What SELFMADE has created is a personal ritual with that sole intention, while also providing a beautiful, healthy outer glow. Their superstar ingredients include squalane, hyularonic acid, helichrysum italicum flower (a Mediterranean plant derived of beta-endorphins to reduce stress, marine plant extracts for vitamins, and natural aloe. The Secure Attachment Comfort Serum gets 5 stars for not just the dewy glow and total softness it gave my skin, but most importantly taking those few minutes of intentions while applying allowed me to be comfortable with myself - inside and out.
