July is National Picnic Month (we can't make that up). There are no shortages of aspirational picnic flat lays on Instagram, nor is there a lack of style to it. Use your imagination and picture an English countryside or a romantic rendezvous atop the cliffs overlooking the ocean waves. Thanks to Instagram it's easy to see that summer picnics outweighs bbq's, because when was the last time you saw a chic insta of grilled chicken and corn?

Obvious menu choices include a French baguette, fine cheese and a bottle of wine if you fancy. That is the atypical scenario, but you can throw in some standard fruits such as grapes, apple slices, oranges and any other statement fruit that needs no Instagram filter.

The basket itself sets the overall tone. You want something of an easy carry-on that fits the essentials and properly goes nicely with your picnic attire.
