Burberry is Hiring Senior Music Manager (London)

The Music Manager, in partnership with the Chief Creative Officer and working with creative media and marketing, will define a new era of music for Burberry. They will hold accountability for delivering the music strategy in line with each creative brief and own key relationships with DJ’s, musicians, promoters, clubs, events and record labels within the Dance/Electronic genre and the wider music industry.
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated in depth knowledge of the British music industry and wider global industry as a whole
Have a wide understanding of the electronic and dance music culture around the world, both contemporary and historically
Demonstrated knowledge of up and coming trends, musicians and movements within the industry, especially the global electronic and dance community
Worked in/ have experience in live events for at least 3 years
In depth understanding of Burberry aesthetic code and vision of Chief Creative Officer, with demonstrated ability to interpret the vision and deliver accordingly
Dynamic and collaborative style, able to build positive working relationships with cross-functional teams and translate strategic direction into day to day direction for Music
Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross functional teams, including but not limited to; brand experience, creative media design and marketing
Expert communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast paced environment with flexibility and a sense of urgency, using initiative to provide innovative solutions on the spot
Can do attitude and skilled at managing competing priorities, operating with a proactive, creative approach to problem solving
RESPONSIBLITIES
Responsible for identifying and substantiating music hypotheses
Responsible for curating music for all the business requirements; playlists for retail stores/events, booking
groups/artists for live performances at events, in line with each creative brief
Responsible for owning relationships with key contacts in the music industry in particualr the electronic and dance scene, including but not limited to DJ’s, musicians, promoters, clubs, events and record labels
Responsible for attending /keeping up to date with dance and club and nights, globally, and using these experiences to introduce up and coming trends, musicians and movements within the industry with a particular interest in the electronic and dance community, to the business.
Responsible for responding to corporate/internal events and music requirements.
Responsible for working in collaboration with the legal and licencing teams to negotiatie contracts and fees
Extensive global travel may be required
