Reformation is Hiring Fashion Design Associate (Los Angeles)

Currently hiring for a Fashion Design Associate who will contribute to Reformation's success and growth by managing the process of creating high designs. As a Fashion Design associate at Ref you will be identifying emerging trends, and translating these into fashion stories customers will love and believe in. You will work closely with the Buying teams and Suppliers to ensure you capture the season’s must-have pieces to excite and delight the customer.
REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years experience
Strong Sketching skills
Relevant contemporary experience with an appreciation of fabric, trims,
Knowledge of CAD would be beneficial
Experience working with domestic and overseas factories/suppliers is beneficial
Appetite for design influences and strong eye
Ability to work under own initiative
Strong enthusiasm for Reformation as a brand
Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently at all levels
Ability to work under pressure and with strong personalities
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
Have a genuine passion for Sustainability
RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret trends into commercial designs
Identify key silhouettes, fabrics and trims that are relevant to the Reformation customer
Gathering & use relevant internal and external information to drive product and range development for the customer
Partner with the Design Director and Buyers to develop the vision and direction of the brand
Responsible for producing specs either by hand and/or CAD
