Helmut Lang is seeking a talented and visionary Copywriter to join our brand team, reporting directly to the Art Director. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing Helmut Lang's copy direction and execution across all platforms.

Salary range: $79,000 - $82,000

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.

  • 4+ years of experience in copywriting and editorial direction, preferably in the luxury fashion or lifestyle sector.

  • Proven track record of developing distinctive brand voices and compelling narratives for high-end brands.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Deep understanding of the luxury fashion landscape and Helmut Lang's place within it.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of writing styles and ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms.

  • Experience in managing and mentoring creative teams.

  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and understanding of how to optimize copy for digital platforms.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Passion for minimalist design and avant-garde fashion, with a finger on the pulse of current cultural trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Copy Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and maintain Helmut Lang's brand voice, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints including website, social media, email marketing, advertising, and physical materials.

  • Create and oversee on-brand copy for all marketing initiatives, product descriptions, campaigns, and corporate communications.

  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure seamless integration of copy and visual elements, maintaining Helmut Lang's signature style while effectively communicating our brand message.

Content Strategy

  • Work closely with the Head of Brand to develop content strategies that support overall brand objectives, product strategy and marketing goals.

  • Identify opportunities for innovative content formats and storytelling methods that set Helmut Lang apart in the digital space.

  • Collaborate with the digital team to optimize copy / content for SEO and ensure it drives engagement across all platforms.

Team Leadership and Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively with various departments including Design, Sales, Merchandising, E-commerce, and PR to ensure cohesive messaging across all brand communications.

  • Partner with external agencies and freelancers as needed, managing relationships and maintaining quality standards.

Brand Guardianship

  • Act as a guardian of the Helmut Lang brand voice, providing guidance and training to internal teams on tone and messaging.

  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines for copy and editorial content, ensuring consistency across all communications.

Performance Analysis

  • Develop KPIs for copy and regularly analyze performance to inform future strategies.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape to continually refine our approach to copy and content.
