As a member of Pace’s Communications, Design and Publication team, the Graphic Designer will work alongside the Art Director, in the coordination, conceptualization and design of printed and electronic materials for marketing and promotional materials including sales packets, exhibition announcements, invitation, magazine advertisements and all related printed/digital matter for all our global locations. The Graphic Designer will assist the Art Director with creating exhibition catalogues and other art book publications. The Designer will also collaborate with our Global Exhibition department for all exhibition signages design to advance Pace Gallery’s brand and vision globally.
REQUIREMENTS
B.A. degree in Graphic Design.
A minimum of 3 years’ continuous experience in professional graphic design; proven passion for graphic design and typography.
Professional experience in typography, publication design, and print production.
High proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Keynote, Asana and Slack.
Comfortable working with multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of digital constraints and opportunities a plus.
Knowledge/interest in motion design is a plus
Must possess a professional, positive work demeanor and the ability to work effectively with vendors, clients, and co-workers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
A genuine interest and passion for modern and contemporary art.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Support
Print advertisements
Exhibition print materials, including announcement cards, pamphlets, booklets, etc.
Promotional/marketing collateral, such as bookmarks, stickers, etc.
Print and digital event invitations & supporting design materials
Oversee the design of Instagram stories and other social media assets
Digital ads
Sales Support
Sales packets for global exhibitions, art fairs, and individual artworks
Sales presentations/proposals
Publication/catalogues
Design, typeset and preparing the file for the exhibition catalogues and related print materials
Signage
Coordinate with Art Resources team to determine signage needs for each exhibition, and coordinate with vendors for printing
Design in-gallery signage such as title, intro text, and artwork labels
Design way-finding signage throughout the building, including print and digital signs
Stationery
Work with vendor to print Pace-branded stationery as needed, including business cards
