Pandora is Hiring a Creative Director, Design (NYC)

As a Creative Director, you’ll help set the strategic direction for our brand's future and how it activates in the marketplace. Overseeing both our internal team of Art Directors and Designers across various disciplines and our external network of agencies and freelancers. You will be integral to our brand development efforts, creating impactful digital experiences, social and video campaigns, and shaping how our brand shows up at major industry events such as Cannes Media Lions, Adweek NYC, and CES. We are seeking a candidate who is not only inspirational but can also enhance and protect our brand's reputation by introducing innovative and unexpected ideas. Your goal will be to elevate how SiriusXM Media engages with both our external audience and our internal teams.

As a brand newly reintroduced to the digital audio advertising landscape, we aim to both educate and entertain our audience with innovative advertising that showcases the full range of SiriusXM Media's capabilities in digital, video, and experiential activations. The Creative Director plays a crucial role in this endeavor, leading our in-house design team with a focus on brand-centric, data-driven campaigns and IRL activations that truly connect with the audience. Our mission is to showcase our dynamic audio portfolio that connects advertisers to over 150 million monthly listeners and creates compelling connections with our core industry audience. And we’re looking to our Creative Director to spearhead these innovative efforts.

We are in search of an accomplished creative leader with a strong agency or in-house background, a dedication to exceptional work, and a talent for fostering collaboration and operational excellence. Someone comfortable pitching ideas for and overseeing projects that can range from 360 media campaigns to high-profile experiential activations. In our fast-paced environment, successful leaders are those who anticipate trends, adapt quickly, and energize teams to keep up with the industry's rapid pace. This role is designed for someone who can envision how a simple idea can evolve into a comprehensive integrated campaign and possess the expertise to bring it to life.

We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $157,000 to $174,125 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years experience in a creative leadership role, at an agency or in-house, with a focus on brand and design.

  • Design, Advertising, or Communications Degree or relevant work experience, with special attention on innovative and immersive experiential activations.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in brand design across various platforms, with an emphasis on 360 campaigns, preferably those with an experiential component.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and conceptual skills to build effective pitch decks that clearly explain concepts to key stakeholders in other departments.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

  • Comprehensive understanding of brand development at a portfolio level, marketing, and multimedia design.

  • Experience working efficiently under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Ability to collaborate and jump into art direction and design when needed.

  • Competence in collaborating with teams across different time zones.

  • Desire to build a best-in-class creative team without sacrificing interpersonal relationships. i.e. Be nice, collaborate, and make great work.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the implementation and market expression of our newly launched SiriusXM Media brand across digital, social, video, and experiential activations.

  • Pitch concepts for brand activations and campaigns across experiential, digital, social, and video.

  • Ideate new ways to activate the portfolio at experiential activations with an emphasis on creating immersive experiences to express the brand

  • Discover creative solutions to create impact in a crowded and competitive B2B brand space.

  • Strong creative vision and leadership—the ability to balance the demands of being a manager while sometimes needing to grab the reins and be a ’ hands-on’ creative

  • Drive the creation of innovative and engaging 360 content, campaigns, and experiences.

  • Mentor and inspire a team of creatives, fostering an environment of cooperation, innovation, and growth.

  • Work and coordinate relationships with external agencies and freelancers.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing and strategy teams to develop creative that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating new and effective design techniques and approaches into our branding projects.

  • Manage multiple projects with a balance between creativity and practical execution.

  • Communicate and present design concepts and strategies effectively to internal partners and stakeholders.

  • Ensure all creative output is cohesive, top-quality, and aligned with the brand’s core objectives, vision, and tone.
