Proenza Schouler is hiring a Digital Design Associate (NYC)
The Digital Design Associate will assist RTW Design and Creative Services team in the development and execution of all Collection, VIP and Special Projects.
The targeted base salary range for this role is $50,000-$60,000. Actual salary offered may be outside of this range based on factors such as, relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is also eligible for additional benefits including an annual performance-based incentive program and a seasonal clothing allowance.
About the company
Proenza Schouler is a New York based womenswear and accessories brand founded in 2002 by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. The duo met while studying at Parsons School of Design, eventually collaborating on their senior thesis which became their first collection as Proenza Schouler. Named after the designers’ mothers’ maiden names, the collection was bought in its entirety by Barneys New York.
REQUIREMENTS
2-4 years’ experience in relevant field and/or coursework
Highly skilled at Adobe Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom
Creative and dynamic individual with strong digital skills
Interest in fashion design and graphic design
Independent, organized and communicative self-starter
Experience in video/photography/retouching
Excited to learn and work cross-functionally across many divisions and varying types of work
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Services
-Assist in creating in-house artwork and graphic design needs for DTC, Press, and Special Projects, including:
Branding requests
DTC, Retail partner, or Press invitations
Sales assets
GWPs
Company packaging
Project mood/inspiration boards
Social Media (IG) abstract/found imagery
Special Projects (e.g. Brand collaborations)
-Manage the execution and creation of:
Special project decks for Retail partners (capsules with Bergdorf’s, Saks, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter)
Manage the creation of Market Look books and video assets for each season including managing retouching process, video process and upload to JOOR.
Product Knowledge decks for each season.
-Responsible for hiring and management of Creative Services intern.
-Manage and collaborate with external vendors when needed for projects, retouching and asset creation.
Design
-Creation of Technical Artworks and Mock-ups for the following Design needs:
Vintage styling
Design details and renderings
Jewelry
Trim specs & mock-ups
3-D print & embroidery placements
Photoshopping of collection looks
Illustrator flats – Runway seasons only
Color ups - flats, sketches and photos for multiple divisions
Design boards including Fabric Boards, Digital Delivery Boards, and Mini’s
-Assist and help organize Editorial and Internal photoshoots.
-Manage seasonal process and set-up for Runway, Pre-Collection, Vintage and Ecomm lookbooks.
-Work with design and development on Vintage Looks set up and organization including pulling from NJ Archive and assorting racks for looks.
