seeking an experienced and resourceful content producer to help our creative and marketing teams use video and photo storytelling to communicate brand messaging and ideas through engaging content across social media and other digital channels. 

This individual will contribute to the strategy, development and execution of video and photo content for Rebecca Minkoff’s social media profiles, as well as other digital properties. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional understanding and knowledge of the full digital media landscape- with an emphasis on knowledge of social media platform functionality and best practices. 

You are someone who is passionate about social media and understand the complexities and nuances of each platform because you are an avid user. You’ll work closely with the broader Creative, Marketing and PR teams within Rebecca Minkoff to produce content that reflects Rebecca Minkoff’s brand values and tone of voice.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience working in digital media, ideally with a focus on fashion and editorial content 

  • Familiarity with digital video formats and best practices for web & social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube 

  • Experience in video production (e.g. camera, lighting, audio capture, etc) 

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere (Aftereffects is a plus) 

  • Highly organized, creative, collaborative thinker with a passion for visual storytelling 

  • Strong time, organizational and project management skills 

  • Solutions and results-oriented, with ability to multi-task, prioritize actions and deadlines 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ideate, shoot, and edit content - including videos, photos, reels, and other formats- to be shared across all Rebecca Minkoff social media platforms, as well as other brand digital channels.

  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling and engaging content for social media profiles that aligns with the larger marketing calendar and brand strategy.

  • Visualize concepts based on a creative brief and craft a narrative around them that aligns with best practices of each social platform.

  • Have a strong understanding of all functionalities of social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other existing and emerging platforms in the digital landscape.

  • Assist in-house photographer in capturing additional content during photoshoots and events – like behind the scenes photos, video footage, and other content relevant to social media (boomerangs, reels, etc)

  • Plan logistics around live capture and publishing across multiple platforms and be able to live publish in a reactive and fast-paced environment.

  • Manage content production, review, and approval process.

  • Understand the Rebecca Minkoff audience and develop creative that is tailored to their interests

  • Ensure content is engaging, adheres to brand editorial guidelines and is optimized for each platform

  • Evaluate the performance of all social campaigns, and optimize content based on performance.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in social media content. Develop programming around these trends to deliver value to the Rebecca Minkoff community and innovate the media experience.
