Jil Sander is on the cusp of a creative refresh. Lucie and Luke Meir have been appointed the brand's new creative directors and yes, they are husband and wife. Both carry extensive design backgrounds, with her coveted roles in the prominent houses of Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga, Dior and Raf Simons. He spent eight years as head designer for streetwear cult brand Supreme. So what we have here are heavy experiences in couture, luxury brands and highly sought after global streetwear, all that will possibly join together to cultivate the Jil Sander brand that's so synonymous with minimalism. It will be interesting to see how the Meir's put their creative design stamps on the line's aesthetic.
