Claudia Li FW17: Time Travel

Claudia Li took to the theory of time travel for her Fall/Winter 2017 presentation. The theme of the collection is inspired by portraits of strong female figures and ideas associated with time travel, 'a different place and time,' a personal introspection from the designer herself. Structured and slight masculine tailoring created bell sleeves and ruched detailing in overcoats, pant suits and oversized dress-shirts. The mirrors not only reflected dimensional silhouettes, but emphasized the obscure angles of the feminine body. Li was recently profiled in Forbes '30 Under 30' for 2017, regardless of that accolade, we're keeping our eyes peeled for this young designer in seasons to come.
