Her parents would go on assignment every couple of years as Bible translators and linguists. One mission sent them to a small village in Papua New Guinea, but Nepal remained home base for most of her childhood. She moved to New York in 2011 after meeting her husband Peter Sutherland—an artist, photographer and pillar of the NYC skate community—during an overseas photography workshop she put together for local children. …
