Product Review: Evenprime Soothing Face Mist

Evenprime is 100% vegan, cruelty-free and pro-planet. The latter is a superb way of saying the overused (although necessary) word these days, sustainable. The Santa Monica based company uses packaging made with FSC-certified paper, the bottles and tubes are all recyclable and they donate 1% of all revenue to ocean cleanup. It’s a new habit of mine to skim through a brand’s About and FAQ pages to see how they’re ethically producing items and contributing to saving the planet. I hit those pages before even considering to shop, so I’m glad that a young company such as Evenprime is mindfully running a skincare line that’s not only responsible in sustainability, but the quality of their ingredients.

Evenprime soothing face mist

Now that “hot girl vaxxed summer” is officially over, I can reflect on how the Soothing Face Mist helped to alleviate heatwave stress. Yes, face mists are meant to be refreshing, but not all of them act as a toner and essence spray. Ding Ding! Evenprime’s team of award winning Korean chemists are formulating good products without using harmful ingredients.

UNSCENTED … ALCOHOL-FREE … PARABEN FREE …

Key ingredients include:

  • Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate is a nutrient dense yeast, and a byproduct of fermented sake, which reduces large pores and brightens skin.

  • Centella Asiatica Extract is known as tiger grass, an Asian plant that is a hydrating skin saver. It’s found in most Korean skincare creams.

  • Niacinamide is a form of Vitamin B3, which boosts hydration, fades hyper pigmentation and diminishes large pores.

  • Kakadu Plum Fruit Extract, an Australian fruit high in Vitamin C and powerful antioxidants. Highly beneficial for acne prone breakout skin.

  • Sea Buckthorn Fruit Extract, also known as seaberry, is a good source of Vitamin C, B and E and dates back to medicinal history (as far back as Ancient Greek Mythology). This fruit oil is used frequently in serums and thus has anti-inflammatory properties (great for acne prone skin), also contains potent antioxidants and nutrients to fight off free radicals.

With these key ingredients, it’s no wonder that this Soothing Face Mist calmed my skin while softening and protecting it from the sun and heat. This traveled with me everywhere, my favorite daytime companion. And sometimes even up through the night when I needed a quick refresher. What I loved most about it and what makes it different from other face mists, is the toner and essence combo. It doesn’t wet my skin like the other facial mist sprays do only to leave it feeling dry. My face in fact feels soft after 2-3 sprays without ruining my makeup.

This was my summer of good skin and the Soothing Face Mist was a big part of it. The best part is that I’ll continue to use it through fall and winter, because it takes care of my midday dry face paranoia, when I feel like the A/C or heater has dulled my skin. Think of this as the “picker upper” your face needs in times of despair.
