The Little Black Dress That Could
Since womanhood has gone through drastic changes and upheavals within the last few years, we need to redefine what the little black dress is. Its historical origins dates back to the 1920’s with designer Coco Chanel making it the subtle statement of a cocktail or evening dress. Yet, these days, during these uncertain times, there may be less parties. Although, there’s still many enough reasons to put on a little black dress.
An LBD is all year round, any time of the day for various occasions. When you have an important meeting whether it’s a face to face or over Zoom and you want to look and feel put together, wearing black means you’ve got this. Then, of course there’s the traditional purpose of wearing black - memorials, funerals as it’s the standard color for mourning.
The little black dress is no longer the party dress, but it’s your classic or favorite thing to put on from time to time at your leisure. For whenever you feel flirty, happy, sad, smart and just full on badass.
