Currently looking for a Manager of Editorial & “Always On” Content for our Newsroom team in New York City, NY. The purpose of the Manager of Editorial & ‘Always On’ Content is to deliver on consumer-first storytelling strategies that build our brand and engage our consumer.
This role plays a critical part in delivering the adidas message with consistency and clarity via a regular drumbeat of content that services adidas’ owned ecosystem across social and digital touchpoints. At the Manager level, the person in this position is an excellent communicator, strategic thinker, and creator with their finger on the pulse of cultural conversation, consumer trends, emerging platforms/formats, media, paid/organic social best practices; and has an aesthetic sensibility for content creation/curation.
REQUIREMENTS
4+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience
Editorial mindset
Culturephile with finger on the pulse of cultural conversation and consumer trends
Ability to swiftly move between shifting priorities
Excellent interpersonal / communication skills and high level of strategic thinking
High understanding of content marketing across owned channel and paid social landscape
Advanced experience with all major social media networks: TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite preferred
Keen understanding of the wider publishing mix: owned, earned, and paid
Naturally curious and motivated by the ever-changing world of social, digital, and mobile
Broad understanding of and passion for the sports and fashion / entertainment industry
Advanced presentation and organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execution: Support the Senior Manager in delivering against the strategy and creation of ‘always on’ content, helping to build, legitimize, and operationalize this rapidly developing focus area for the brand, collaborating with Newsrooms and cross-functional partners to define content strategies built from insight to move the brand forward and deliver against key business KPIs.
Planning: Keep watch for developing cultural moments to elevate to the brand editorial calendar to brief in ‘always on’ content .
Creation: Support Senior Manager in developing and managing multiple episodic ‘always on’ content franchises and original content working with creative partners, such as Facebook’s Creative Shop, Emerging Creatives, and White label media houses, and long-form production houses from creative concept through to content creation, production, and reporting.
Operations: Support the Senior Manager in maintaining and managing creative roster, assessing new partners, and always looking for ways to streamline existing processes
Guidance: Act as the editorial marketing expert, upskilling network via deep dives on emerging content formats providing processes, as well as contributing to annual playbook and creative excellence programs.
Internal & external relationship management: On-going communication with both internal and external partners who are integral to the work of the department. Structured communication frameworks that establish an on-going collaboration and flow of information
Budget Management: Management of project budgets with agencies and partners, setting up vendors and upholding compliance practices.
