The Freelance Graphic Designer, Global Learning & Development - Retail helps to develop and design training programs for Retail Field employees to support the long-term vision of the company. They are responsible for assisting the department in the ideation and creation of all in-store learning and client outreach tools as they relate to product and selling, globally. An ability to work efficiently with collaborators and execute projects based on a strategic direction is key.

They have a keen eye for design and are familiar with current design trends and best practices for both digital and print. They are passionate about the fashion space and have an understanding of the selling/client experience. Flexibility and supporting creative collaboration cross-functionally are essential to help support the brand’s creation of innovative learning and training tools. Critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and excellent communication skills are required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in design, retail a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with Adobe CC.

  • High level InDesign skills are required

  • Basic Premiere Pro/After Effects video editing skills are a plus

  • User Interface knowledge is a plus

  • Photoshop & Illustrator skills are a plus

  • Ability to be agile in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to multi-task and manage time well

  • High degree of integrity

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist department in developing and executing design concepts for all internal training programs through visual storytelling and creative solutions

  • Assist department in the development and coordination of the logistics and resources for various digital learning projects and initiatives

  • Honor Michael Kors brand standards, while bringing fresh ideas and a new approach

  • Meet and partner with interdepartmental colleagues to gather all necessary information in

  • order to accurately and efficiently execute all tools

  • Participate in the development of all on-going seasonal training content for Retail Field programs including but not limited to: Sales, Service, and Styling tools, Onboarding

  • Programs, Web-Based Learning, and bespoke trainings

  • Build positive working relationships and strong collaboration within department

  • Seek new methods and find creative solutions for innovative programs to improve the in store learning and training process and overall customer experience

  • Act as a Brand Ambassador personifying brand values, cultures and competencies

  • Conduct market/competitive research and industry trends in graphic design

  • Supports department in measuring the outcomes, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI) on learning initiatives in the form of data and analytics

  • Other administrative/coordination duties as assigned
