Benefit Cosmetics is Hiring a Graphic Designer (San Francisco)

Benefit Cosmetics is the San Francisco-based makeup brand that believes laughter is the best cosmetic. Benefit is the No. 1 Brow Brand Worldwide and is synonymous with fun, instant beauty solutions. This Graphic Designer will work within the Creative Department on the US Marketing team to create marketing collateral and assets that drives brand awareness and build buzz for product launches/campaigns. This person will be responsible for conceptualizing & developing a range of digital and print collateral for the Brand, Digital & Omni-Channel Marketing Teams.

This candidate must be a self-motivated individual, fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite with a creative mind, excellent design aptitude, a collaborative work style and strong organizational/follow-up skills. We are looking for an upbeat, detail-oriented designer with a can-do attitude who can juggle multiple projects simultaneously and one who works well under pressure. The Graphic Designer will need to understand and implement Benefit’s unique aesthetic and graphic style on a day-to-day basis.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-2 years of graphic design experience

  • Extremely proficient in the latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Excellent attention to detail and quality

  • STRONG online portfolio that includes examples of print work

  • Excellent project management and organization skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adhering to tight and demanding deadlines

  • Welcomes constructive criticism with an open mind, always seeking to improve work

  • Formal education in Graphic Design required

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)

  • Passion for the Benefit brand

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Creative Director to create original designs for monthly launches; then executing wide range of marketing materials identified to support launches across web + printed collateral.

  • Ensure cohesion with all product launch creative across all channels and vehicles for visual consistency.

  • Responsible for proper project archiving and file management including organized version control and draft management.

  • Follow project management timeline, factoring in key review periods taking projects to completion.

  • Work closely with print vendors and ensure accuracy of production for all projects.

  • Overall creative design support to US Marketing for all online/offline brand and product related initiatives.
