EVA NYC is Hiring a Social Media Community Coordinator (Brooklyn, NY / Hybrid)

The Social Media & Community Coordinator will be a key player in the Consumer Engagement team, conducting community management of Eva NYC’s social media channels, content creation and copywriting.

Reporting into the Social Media Manager you will manage and execute content strategies while leading all community management efforts with best-in-class social media marketing delivery. You will support the wider Consumer Engagement + Brand team objectives in the context of social media content and engagement by planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and reporting across social media platforms to drive brand awareness, increase revenue and grow our social engagement and follower acquisition.

You will also be an expert in spotting social trends and creating content on the fly, whether that’s Tik Tok video or Instagram stories for specific events. You are comfortable both on camera and shooting BTS in support of our in-house creative team.

Salary: $58,000 - $70,000 + bonus

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years of experience in Social Media Marketing or Community Engagement role

  • Hybrid role in New York with 10% travel/in person days

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Deep understanding of the social media landscape, trends and platforms

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Awareness of pop-culture, cultural moments and social media trends

  • The ability to act fast and in real-time

  • Creative thinker + problem solver

  • A hands-on self-starter with strong organizational skills who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines

  • Proficiency in all social media platforms as well as business programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, Asana, Canva. In addition Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, CapCut and Premier Pro (a plus)

  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team and a passion for haircare, beauty, DEI & sustainability

  • Someone who can lead by example and encompass Eva NYC’s core values

RESPONSIBILITIES

Community Engagement + Social Media 

  • Assist in developing the overarching organic social strategy across all Eva NYC’s social platforms to increase brand awareness, drive engagement and revenue opportunities (Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, etc)

  • Ownership of one-two social media platforms in their entirety, planning growth strategies, content, posting cadence, copywriting, paid media budget and reporting and analytics

  • Own community management for all platforms, managing team member support and scheduling to deliver best-in-class community engagement experience

  • Contribute innovative ideas, best practices, and offer reactive solutions for social media marketing, as well as provide in depth reporting, insights, and competitor analysis to inform the creative process and make recommendations based on data

  • Assist the Social Media Manager in creating channel growth strategies that will deliver against key KPIs for awareness, revenue, engagement, and follower growth. This includes managing social partnerships and tactical giveaways and creative ideas that tap into social trends

  • Assist in copywriting and own specific copywriting tasks for the social team that is on brand and encompasses the Eva NYC tone of voice

  • Conduct social listening and competitor analysis reports on a regular basis for always on initiatives as well as provide in depth reporting for campaigns and NPL

  • Assist the Social Media Manager in researching potential social media marketing platforms and vendors

Content Creation 

  • Responsible for creating and editing content via on and off-camera UGC-style video + stills (e.g., appearing in content on behalf of the brand, capturing in-office video of products and employees) and editing influencer and UGC video for social media platforms (Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, etc)

  • Attend brand photoshoots to manage, capture and edit BTS content

  • Ensures the brand image, voice and brand mission are consistently maintained and enforced across content creation

  • Assist the Social Media Manager in managing the social media content/communications calendar to ensure timely delivery of content and campaigns

  • Manage social media content library

  • Track beauty industry and social platform content creation trends
