Mejuri is Hiring a Fashion Director (NYC / Hybrid)

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Fashion Director to lead the overall style direction and creative vision for Mejuri. The ideal candidate will have a profound understanding of fashion trends, a strong artistic background, and the ability to shape our brand's aesthetic while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.

This role currently has a base pay range of $190-225 per year based on a candidate’s experience and qualifications.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong background in art direction or a related field.

  • Extensive knowledge of the fashion industry and current trends.

  • Proven experience in driving creative and strategic initiatives within a fashion brand.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the brand externally.

  • A robust portfolio demonstrating past work and industry impact.

  • Flexibility and experience across various product categories.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • An understanding of historical fashion trends and the ability to contextualize them in contemporary designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Drive the overall style direction and creative vision for the Mejuri brand by integrating culture and trends into a cohesive fashion strategy.

  • Ensure that the brand's vision and image are expressed consistently across various channels.

  • Stay ahead of fashion and style trends and the competitive landscape to ensure the brand remains a leader in the industry.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to integrate fashion strategy with organizational goals across e-commerce and retail.

  • Contextualize historical fashion trends through a modern lens to inform design decisions.

  • Act as the outward-facing representative of the brand at industry events, fashion shows, and other public engagements.

  • Travel to major cities in the UK, US, and internationally to stay connected with global fashion movements.

Day-to-Day 

  • Oversee model and photographer casting for shoots.

  • Direct styling for our product portfolio and manage styling briefs.

  • Work closely with editors, stylists, and influencers.

  • Build a community of creative partners and implement a cohesive brand styling language.

  • Create and execute styling guidelines for retail and seasonal campaigns.
