poppi is Hiring a Freelance Graphic Designer for Apparel (Remote / U.S.)

As a freelance Graphic Designer for Apparel, you will assist the Creative Team on creating eye-catching and compelling designs for various apparel products, including t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and other clothing items. You will work closely with our Art Director and Creative Director to develop designs that align with our vision for apparel ranges that are due to be completed this summer.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong creative skills with an eye for detail, color, and composition.

  • Understanding of contemporary casualwear and streetwear trends that would inspire creative solutions for poppi apparel.

  • Familiarity with print production processes and garment construction.

  • Knowledge of screen printing, embroidery, and other apparel decoration techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

  • Proven experience as a graphic designer within the apparel or fashion industry, or prior experience working on merchandise specifically. 

  • Should have a deep understanding of print techniques/scaling and creating production friendly artwork.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Asana

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design Development: Create original graphics, illustrations, and patterns for apparel products based on current fashion trends and brand guidelines.

  • Conceptualization: Work with the creative team to brainstorm and conceptualize new design ideas for upcoming collections.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs are consistent with the brand's aesthetic, values, and target market.

  • Revisions and Feedback: Incorporate feedback from team members and make necessary revisions to designs.

  • Technical Production: Prepare detailed technical specifications and production-ready files for manufacturers, ensuring designs are ready for printing and production.
