Tasked with visually representing the cultural and commercial aspirations of the business, the new team member will be a highly motivated and collaborative individual who thrives on the challenge of coming up with consistently original, market-leading covers.
This is a great opportunity for a Junior Designer looking to step up to new responsibilities or a Midweight Designer looking for an exciting new challenge within a dynamic team. Faber prides itself on its celebrated Design heritage and we are looking for someone who will play a key part in its future. This role is full time, permanent and will be based in our London office.
Salary: £31,000-35,000 per annum

REQUIREMENTS
A portfolio of work that demonstrates your talent and expertise and the ability to communicate ideas effectively is essential, and you should be well versed in printing processes and typography, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience commissioning freelance designers, illustrators and photographers is desired, along with a clear idea of the important role book covers play in marketing books within the UK trade.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The job will involve working on a broad remit of award-winning titles and authors, the current list spans Nobel laureates, bestselling fiction, award-winning non-fiction, poetry, film, popular music and Arts.
We publish a diverse range of high-profile authors such as Akwaeke Amezi, Sebastian Barry, Rachel Cusk, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Lenny Henry, Kazuo Ishiguro, David Mitchell, Max Porter, Simon Reynolds, Sally Rooney, Leïla Slimani, Cosey Fanni Tutti, and Jenny Uglow, and we have a backlist containing the works of T. S. Eliot, William Golding, Seamus Heaney, P D James, and Sylvia Plath, among many others.
