Go Get Em Tiger is Hiring Content and Social Media Manager (Los Angeles/Remote)

Go Get Em Tiger is a growing, community focused LA based coffee retail and roasting company with ten cafes and a nascent DTC coffee subscription service. The Content and Social Media Manager is responsible for strategizing, managing and executing GGET’s social media and email newsletter communications. They will have agency to build content that is engaging, inclusive and fun while building greater brand awareness and engagement.

The Content and Social Media Manager will play a critical role in go to market strategy for new products and locations, and will collaborate cross functionally to implement those strategies. This role will clarify and articulate GGET’s social media strategy and leverage internal and external resources to tell the GGET story through the lens of the company values. They will be responsible for the day to day management of company social media channels as well as monthly content planning.

GGET’s social media presence should be fun, energetic, inclusive, charming, hilarious and bold. It should demonstrate confidence in our core competencies and a sense of transparency around company practices, methods and values. You will initially report directly to and collaborate with the CEO, though that reporting structure will likely change as the marketing team is built out over time.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years of social media management experience

  • Superior leadership capabilities; ability to work well within groups

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics

  • Proficiency with multi-social posting programs such as Hootsuite or Hubspot

  • Strong photography and videography skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field

  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and how to effortlessly utilize these concepts throughout various forms of outreach

  • Firm understanding of GGET’s values and standards and a willingness to act as the standard-bearer for those values and standards

  • Understanding and ability to execute all necessary job functions at a high level

  • Awareness of the culinary/coffee landscape of Los Angeles and beyond

  • Ability to recognize when things can be improved and drive to act immediately to improve them

  • High level of organization with excellent time management skills and ability to self-direct

  • Ability to keep a professional demeanor

  • The ability to speak directly addressing conflict in a healthy, trust-building way

  • Must be able to provide reliable transportation to/from work and for work-related errands

  • Must be proficient with Email, Google Drive, Slack and Microsoft Office and all other software related to the day to day function of the business

  • A genuine passion for our product, business, and brand

  • Leadership presence with the ability to create and communicate a clear, inspiring vision, and to translate that vision into a practical, results-focused action plan with a clear passion for the business, a desire for new challenges, and drive for continuous improvement

  • Comfort with ambiguity, light structure, and entrepreneurial growth environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day management of all social media and email marketing campaigns.

  • Build actionable strategies to build brand awareness, engagement and follower growth through social media and email channels.

  • Work cross functionally to build and execute content schedule.

  • Execute phone and camera photography and video content for social media channels.

  • Build brand presence in emerging social media channels.

  • Supervise social media interactions with the GGET community.

  • Copy write and plan for email newsletter campaigns and promotions.

  • Maintain strong, organized lines of communication with all departments to execute important company announcements via social media channels.

  • Utilize social media and email channels to drive revenue growth.

  • Analyze key metrics to build data driven social media marketing approach.

  • Act as a community champion; embracing, protecting, and building on the culture while serving our team members and the greater community.

  • Be an ambassador to people and organizations outside of the company to advance the success of the program.

  • Drive creative for product marketing.

  • Travel as necessary for work-related duties
