MOMA / CUNY Hiring Partnership and Artists Workshop Asst (NYC)
The MoMA/CUNY Partnership and Artist Workshops assistant is responsible for coordinating administrative duties related to the MoMA/CUNY partnership and artist workshops, including evening sessions and events. *This is a temporary position.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in the arts, humanities, or related fields, and at least one to three years experience in an administrative capacity.
General knowledge and interest in modern art.
Must be well organized, a quick learner, flexible, and possess outstanding administrative, computer, and diplomatic skills.
Experience with community outreach within academic communities preferred.
Must be available for regular office hours weekdays Monday-Friday 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, and occasional evenings and weekends for events. Regular weekly schedule to be determined based on candidate’s availability and needs of the position.
30 hours a week; $21.00 per hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates onsite daytime and evening events for the CUNY partnership, artist seminars, and workshops in conjunction with other MoMA departments.
Generates reports about visits to the Museum by our CUNY partner organizations, through liaising with Visitor Engagement and MoMA Education colleagues.
Assists with coordination of other CUNY partnership-related logistics such as scheduling meetings, corresponding with participants, purchasing materials and reporting on programs.
Coordinates workshop registration and schedules participants using online platforms.
Provides onsite customer service and support for participants.
Handles coordination of workshops for special requests or changes in schedule.
Provides regular updates regarding assigned programs to MoMA staff.
Creates reports for assigned programs.
Performs other duties reasonably related to the functions described above.
