Gagosian is Hiring a Junior Graphic Designer (London, UK)

Gagosian is looking for a junior to midweight Graphic Designer to join the Marketing team. The role will be responsible for creating marketing materials within the gallery’s graphic identity in support of exhibitions, programs, advertising campaigns, and onsite signage, as well as collaborating with colleagues on specialized personal business proposals.

The Graphic Designer will report to the Director of Digital and Marketing who oversees and executes the gallery’s international marketing efforts, website, and established branding.

Full-time, onsite, Monday to Friday

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent experience

  • Junior to midweight level with minimum two year’s experience designing marketing collateral or advertisements

  • Fluency in the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong interest in art and media trends

  • Team player with high levels of self-initiative, drive, and meticulous attention to detail

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design promotional materials in a variety of media, including print and digital ad placements for magazines, international newspapers, outdoor advertising, among others, as well as exhibition announcements, booklets, and other collateral

  • Prepare production files for onsite signage, including title, introduction text, and artwork labels

  • Create digital invitations for events and programming, including original, bespoke designs for private dinners and parties

  • Produce marketing materials for collectors, including themed “guides” that highlight artists’ activities relating to a specific location or are timed to an art fair or key art world moment  

  • Work alongside an editorial and content development team to create small print-run or digitally focused business proposals that include art historical essays, auction comparatives, historical achievements, market expertise, relevant market analysis, and other sales information 

  • Organize, update, and create templates based on brand guidelines to be used by wider staff, allowing self-sufficiency in creating branded materials for a variety of urgent needs, as well as provide design support as needed  

  • Understand how to work within set graphic standards but accommodate and adapt to the needs and desires of different stakeholders

  • Prepare design files for production

  • Create and adhere to production schedules and deadlines

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Digital and Marketing organizing files and creating organizational systems and procedures
