Hero Cosmetics is Hiring a Senior Brand Designer (Hybrid/NYC)

Hero Cosmetics is seeking a multidisciplinary Senior Brand Designer responsible for brand visual communications and the execution of integrated campaigns. You will work within the creative team and closely across all internal departments. This is an opportunity to be involved in multiple creative aspects of our product visuals and encompasses everything from campaigns, product launches, advertising, and more.

Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 a year

This is a Hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely and in our NYC office at 407 Broome St, New York, NY.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BFA or BA in graphic design, advertising, fine arts, or a relevant field

  • 5+ years’ experience in a high volume, deadline-driven environment, quickly managing changing priorities within an agency or in-house environment

  • Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign required

  • Outstanding design, typography, and layout skills

  • Understanding of basic UX/UI best practices and ability to communicate with the development team required

  • Knowledge of the pre-press process for print production preferred

  • Video, motion graphics, animation, and knowledge of Lottie's animation experience are preferred

  • Works autonomously and collaboratively with a team

  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Strong relationship-building skills; ability to work with a variety of people in various disciplines

  • Strong portfolio of real-world work that showcases cross-channel campaign execution

  • Knowledge of beauty or skincare, health & wellness or related industry and design, and digital trends

  • Eagerness to learn and receive feedback


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the execution across our brand campaigns (e.g., evergreen, product launches, cultural moments).

  • Participate actively in creative brainstorms, leveraging design thinking to unlock innovative approaches.

  • Think long-term—as we evolve and iterate on brand guides and templates.

  • Translate your brand's visual language that connects with our consumers’ journey.

  • Collaborate with e-commerce, dev, growth, marketing, and other departments whose activities intersect with creative.

  • Communicate ideas through visualization and effective presentation to cross-functional internal and external stakeholders.
