The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for illustrative and graphic logo design. This candidate will have experiences in working apparel, headwear and soft good graphics.

REQUIREMENTS

● 3-5 years of Graphic Designer experience in the fashion/retail space

● Good organizational, time management and communication skills

● Must be flexible to meet demands of deadlines.

● Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects with adherence to deadlines

● Must be flexible to adapt to changing trends of business and projects

● Strong ability to interact and successfully collaborate with multiple teams and staff members.

● Must be skilled in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

● Solid understanding of design process and color sense.

● Understanding of product construction (e.g. finishes, fabrics, hardware, stitches, safety requirements, etc.

● Have a positive and passionate attitude. A willing problem-solver who is determined to work together and find solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

● Design from concept to creation a full range of accessory items. Products range from but are not limited to: hats, scarves, beanies and gloves.

● Utilize resources in sourcing new ideas, both internally and externally, and stay up to date on competitor research/trend analysis

● Works closely with merchandising team to gather line plans and design into business needs

● Ensure that product is of high quality and consistent with market trends, as well as business strategy.

● Partner with Design Director and Senior Designer to manage process from concept to production

● Provide recommendations to the Director and Senior Designer regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts, etc.

● Prepare / create presentations whether it be design concept or prototype review for Creative Director meetings

● Responsible for technical package process: detailed drawings, measurements, design detail specifications and BOMS.

● Maintains tech packs and works closely with Product developer in following up on designs and ensure that deadlines are met in accordance with the calendar.

● Review prototypes and communicate corrections with internal and external teams

● Manage cross-functional communication between merchants, production, technical design and external vendors

● Maintains thorough knowledge of the line (silhouettes, yarns/fabrics and design details) and is responsible for tracking changes/additions.
