The Junior Photographer works in our NYC studio, under the guidance of a Lead Photographer, to photograph high quality imagery of luxury merchandise for the Saks website. The studio is located in lower Manhattan, a well-equipped, fast-paced environment with an average of 65 items per day, per RTW set. Junior Photographers are primarily responsible for the shooting, layering and file management of Ghost (mannequin) imagery with additional duties including photography of additional views or helping in other areas of the studio, such as our Still Life area, as needed. Ideal candidates are creative problem solvers with a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of focus. You feel comfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams to achieve daily production targets.
This role is full time, in studio – with a usual schedule, M-F 8:30am-5pm. Salary Range $37,000 - $46,000*

REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Photography or related field
1-3 years of experience in an E-Commerce Photographer environment
Website or portfolio of photography to showcase knowledge of photographic techniques such as lighting and composition
Knowledge tethering programs, professional camera and studio lighting equipment
Skilled with Adobe CC programs, with emphasis on Adobe Photoshop
Well versed in Mac OS and Google Suite
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure
Productivity focused, with a proven ability to multitask
Work ethic - Self-starter, results driven, with a strong sense of urgency
Strong communication skills, ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in a multi-team environment
Preferred Qualifications (nice To Haves)
Experience, specifically, with Capture One Pro tethering software, Canon camera and lenses and Profoto studio lighting systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
Shoot RTW Ghost imagery, meeting or exceeding daily productivity targets
Ensure all imagery meets quality and site standards
Ensure lighting and camera equipment is aligned with Saks standards
Execute QC (quality control) of all work before delivery to Image Edit teams including naming, cropping, and
color are all accurate
Ensuring internal workflows and processes are properly followed
Support Manager and Lead with maintenance and organization of studio space and equipment
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Lead Photographer
Partner with Manager/Lead to
Find efficiencies and improvements in workflows and processes
Support training of junior staff, such as Digital Techs
Schedule testing opportunities to build upon technical skills
Research and development, as well as testing, towards an improved customer experience
