Need Supply is Hiring Staff Photographer (Richmond, Virginia)

Currently seeking a Staff Photographer who will be responsible for photographing products producing high quality and consistently beautiful images as well as give support to the Lead Photographer. The Staff Photographer must have proven experience with digital photography and studio lighting. The ideal candidate will also possess an aptitude and attitude well-suited for collaboration and team-work. The Staff Photographer will work successfully with Lead Photographer and Studio Manager to coordinate and execute shoots that best represent our brand and meet Need Supply Co. visual standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience on E-commerce photography, digital cameras and lighting

  • High technical proficiency in Capture One and PhotoShop

  • Extensive knowledge of Canon 5D mkIII

  • Ability to work well with a team

  • Ability to meet deadlines and make decisions under pressure in a fast-paced studio environment with a high daily shot count

  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities

  • Positive attitude, proactive and able to take initiative

  • Detail-oriented and creative

  • Portfolio demonstrating work (must be submitted with resume in order to be considered for position)

  • Portfolio that demonstrates expertise in both still life and on figure fashion photography

  • Retouching experience

  • Bachelor degree or formal course work in Photography or similar field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Photographing still life and on figure following set guidelines and standards

  • Set preparation, including appropriate lighting, prior to shoot

  • Ensuring that all products are lit correctly

  • Producing high quality images; ensuring exposure and color consistency

  • Performing quality assurance on all images

  • Cropping and processing of all images

  • Naming and maintaining digital asset files

  • Accurately archiving images

  • Meeting daily and weekly production deadlines

  • Maintaining general appearance of studio, proper storage of photo equipment and set painting.

  • Assembling/disassembling backgrounds, sets, and photographic equipment to include lifting, carrying heavy and/or awkward equipment/materials
